My Story

Picture
Hello everybody, my name is Crystal. I was born and raised in California but moved to Anchorage, Alaska in the summer of 2007. I have an amazingly supportive husband who encourages my love for babies and a wonderful son named Lucas who has forever changed my life. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our second baby boy who is due this August! I have always been drawn to pregnancy and birth, but it wasn't until I experienced it firsthand that the passionate spark ignited.

I am a dedicated nursing student hoping to work in Labor and Delivery shortly after graduation. Because babies are my true passion, my goal is to get my Masters in Midwifery so that I can play a crucial role in welcoming them into this world. Motherhood has completely changed my life and I want to be a part of that experience for as many women as I can. I love hearing birth stories and continuously learning about the miracles of birth.

I am DONA trained and currently working on my International Certification.

My Philosophy on Birth

I honestly believe that birth works and that a woman's body knows how to labor. We are designed to successfully welcome a baby into this world and sometimes we just need a reminder of that golden information.  The journey may be a difficult one, but with the proper support I believe every woman can have a positive birth experience.
