Birth Package:
Just as every woman and pregnancy is different, I strive to customize my services to the needs of the expectant family. Below is my Birth Package.
Free Consultation
It is important to find a Doula that you feel comfortable with and for that very reason I offer a free consultation, either by phone or in person, to assess our likelihood and compatibility. I want for all of my clients to feel confident in their decision and comfortable working with me during this intimate time in their lives.
Prenatal Visits
I offer 2 prenatal visits during the third trimester. At this time we will explore relaxation, breathing, and massage techniques, learn effective exercises and positions for labor, review basic childbirth education, and discuss physical and emotional issues revolved around labor, delivery, and parenthood.
Birth Plan Assistance
I believe that every woman should go into birth with an open mind, but being prepared and educated about your options is key. I will help you devise a birth plan specifically tailored to the needs and desires of you and your partner.
Continuous Phone & E-mail Support
From the date of hire I will be available to answer any questions you may have. I also strive to guide you in the proper direction if additional services are needed.
Labor & Birth Support
I will be on-call within 2 weeks before and after your estimated due date. Once labor has begun, I offer around the clock labor and birth support. Whether you have decided to birth in a hospital, birth center, or at home, I will be available to you. Many mothers choose to labor at home for some time before transferring and I would be glad to help ease the transition. I also offer immediate postpartum support for approximately 1-2 hours after the baby has arrived. My goal is to see a successfully nursing baby and a happy settled family before my departure.
Postpartum Support
I will come to you for one postpartum visit after the arrival of your baby. During this time we will discuss your birth, admire your new arrival, and discuss any additional support and resources to help ease yourself into parenthood.
Additional Services
For an additional fee, I am open to many other services you may need. Whether you would like someone to take photos, help you document your birth story, or assistance beginning a scrapbook for baby, I am here!
